Ok, what happened till my last post here?
Matze and I spent 1 week at the Lake Constance. The weather was beautiful, even too hot some days! We enjoyed swimming in the lake (but I didn’t like the wavy lake on a windy day…), we visited the park of the castle of Salem (and the church there), the museum about stilt houses in Unteruhldingen, the mountain Pfänder in Bregenz (A) and the bird of prey show (very admirable birds!), the museum about zeppelins in Friedrichshafen and we went by bike to Lindau :) A nice lake holiday!
Afterwards I spent 5 days in Paris with my friend Tini. I’m really thankful that she also loves to visit so many sights and loves to inform herself about culture and history! :) We visited almost all important sights of Paris like: Versailles and gardens, Tour Eiffel, Grave of Napoleon (Dôme des Invalides), Montmartre with church Sacré-Coeur where we met our forum member Marie (so funny!! :D ), the catacombs of Paris (so many bones!), the church Notre-Dame, the church Sainte Chapelle (beautiful colourful glass windows), the Palace of Justice with the Conciergerie where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, the museum Louve, l’avenue de champs-elyssées with a lot of shops (especially a big shopof perfume^^), the triumph arc, the garden of Luxembourg, garden de Tuileries etc. I’m sure I forgot a lot *lol* ask Tini ;) Our feet hurt a lot in the evenings :( but it was worth it!! We also loved the bakery next to our hostel where we bought wonderful cakes :D The weather had been wonderful as well! :) We decided to go to Rome next year if possible! I’d really love this, Tini!!
During our visit in the museum Louvre my mother called me. First I thought something bad had happened, maybe an accident or that one of my pets died, but nooo, I was totally wrong *lol* She told me that I have been accepted for studying human medicine at the university of Ulm, yay!!! I was so happy when she told me! :)
When I came home I organised a first month of internship of care at the hospital of Geislingen. I worked in the inner medicine department. The nurses there were really really nice to me and they showed me a lot. So I also learnt a lot! :) Washing people or going to the toilet with them weren’t the things I liked the most, but it also is a part of care. So now I know that nurses really do a great work! The other things I liked better: bringing blood or urine probes to the lab, bringing the patients to examinations, talking to patients, bringing meals to patients, cleaning the rooms, setting up a room after the leave of a patient etc. The best thing was when patients where really happy that I had helped them and they were really thankful. That really warmed my heart and I knew that helping people will be more “my job” than working in a lab! :) But the work in the hospital also was exhausting and making me very tired! I had to work either from 6:00-13:30 or from 12:30-20:00. Getting up at 5 was hard for me. I just love to stay in bed! :D Running around so much also was new for me. Students use to sit around a lot. I also had to go to the hospital by bike and back home as well (up a hill). Additionally I had to work 12 days in a row without a weekend-break :( Well, I survived it!^^
Then university started. I made a few friends: Stefan, Dani and I met other nice persons as well. I hope to make more of them to friends ;)
It’s a pity, but Marina and I have to start in the first semester again -.- We wished to start in the 3rd but it was not possible… We also had a lot of bureaucratic problems *sigh* but I hope that’s over now! We only have to attend the following courses: psychology (senseless discussions which go round in circles about doctors as patients, social classes etc.), anatomy A once again with seminars, biology once again (I don’t attend this one, the lecture is boring!), terminology and EKM (=introduction into clinical medicine, we meet patients and analyze their diseases with the help of anamnesis e.g.). After Christmas only the subjects psychology and anatomy A will remain. :D So I only have 6-11 h/week. I almost feel unemployed… Don’t have to do that much… So I started working as a student ambassador again, but in November I can only go to an exhibition about education and to one school in Stuttgart, in Dec to no school till now -.-) and I also worked for Hexal for 2 weeks making presentations for nephrologists. I hope I’ll get the money soon :D But I didn’t find a job for every week, that’s sad :(
End of October Butterfly, one of my rats, fell ill. I tried to save her during 3 weeks but she did not recover and the she went over the rainbowbridge leaving me weeping a lot for her! ;( ;( She has been my tamest rat!
Hope, one of my old guinea pigs, also lay dead in her house one evening. ;(
That leaves 3 guinea pigs and 2 rats who don’t get along that well with one another… They live like they were alone :( So I decided to get 3 baby rats to join them. I hope the integration will work, wish me luck!!
Since September I’m also trying to find a room in a “WG” (living community). I visited already 11 communities, but noone wanted me :( Maybe because of the rats I have to take with me of course… I don’t know. On Tueday I visit the 12th community. I SO hope that I can find a room before March as I wish to do my second month of internship of care in the department of children and youths in Ulm then!! Please, cross your fingers for me!!
I also couldn’t find another horse I can take care for or ride since July :(
As you can see, my life isn’t that great at the moment…
But last weekend I saved the world from a pandemia with some friends (gaming evening) and I also spent one evening in a café with 2 other friends. Those were some nice hours.
This night I will go to the café Maxime with an old school friend, Franzi.
Other things I do at the moment: I read a lot, I write many letters, I watch a lot of series and movies, I listen to music and I decided to take up playing PC game Spellforce again! I also care for my rats a lot and I bought some new things.
